here's a phone camera shot i took the next morning after the final session on my left arm. the artist is taking studio shots on Sunday, they'll be MUCH better and with the colors blended since it's fully healed, i'll post those here when he publishes 'em. there's a lot more at work than what this shows, but it gives the general idea of what's going on...

my 2 kids' names, + 2 magpie feathers since the both of them are yakky magpies
(my dads word for you if you talked too much-lol)
the eyes are Melody's, with her crazy spiral chakra cowlick she has + the Xi and leaf are her other middle names....
the above one is Azalea Vesta Clover (the flame for Vesta is cut off)

the artist took his photos yesterday, when i get 'em, i'll post and explain all. bri, i love it. everything's got a purpose...for me, that's what body modification is about. ars gratia artis is nice, but when it means something deeper, it's more beautiful. even on Josh.

after reading the last two posts, i shouldn't even share these with you a$$holes, but i will anyway...because you're beautiful
this is Thatch Meadow Farm, where i live...this is the view from my front porch. the bird is a house wren...we had a family of them living on said porch, and all day long, they flew back and forth to the nest, feeding their kids, while living harmoniously with me and my guests. i had morning coffee with them every day, and evening drinks with them at sunset. symbolically they stand for the tireless effort of being a parent, and the ultimate reward of watching your chicks fledge, as it were. the face on the clocktower is set to 4:09(pm), the time Ilya was born. the door to the red barn is open, because that's actually a audio studio/live room now - i've played some of my favorite sets ever in that very room, and there's always music coming from it, so we left the door open for the sound to come out. the sunflowers, trees, sky and umbrella obviously represent the full spectrum of summer, when the living is comfortable and colors at their most vibrant. my right arm will undoubtedly get an appropriate scene from another part of the property, perhaps the water view off my back porch, with another appropriate bird. if the artist is willing to change seasons, i may have him do a winter or fall scene.

that is incredible colin. beautiful work and artistry... wow.
thanks, Rayne. four sessions, nearly ten hours worth of needle-to-skin time...but the result looks like an oil painting under my skin. i'm really glad we went all-out, though. and i'm already antsy to get on the other arm!

i know... as soon as i had my first half sleeve... i NEEDED my second... then when i had back done...i needed the thigh done.... now im like.. where do i go next
so much art, so little skin...
yeah, i think i'm-a quit when my second half-sleeve is finished. nice, balanced, just right.
so i say now.
