Hello my Savvy boardie friends.

Does anyone have any suggestions or perhaps any ins on a hotel in this area?

I am looking to take the kids to the midevil times place and just come off the mountain and live the city life for a few days next week. Oh and spend some awesome time with Erin so I can keep her away from cigarettes. lol

We would love a hotel that has an indoor pool.

Is the best way to go Hotels.com?

I'm finding you can't get a king room using them. You have to get the standard room.

Anyone?

by king room do you mean a room w a king size bed or are you looking for a suite?

I see a king size bed room for $179 at the courtyard and that has a pool....

just be forwarned that all of the hotels in that area are basically on the side of the highway (rt 17) which is really convenient to get places but its not going to be luxury vacation location -- sounds like this courtyard was recently redone so it should be clean though?

also if you want to be closer to the city there is a courtyard near me (usually in the $250 range) that is right next to the train to NYC and very convenient but then you will also have to pay to park etc and so if you aren't going to do the whole city thing it might be easier to stay a bit outside this area

I went with the Hilton Homewood suites. Only a little more than I wanted to spend, but I'm basically getting an apartment for a couple days. :v:

We used to stay right next to that medevil place where rt 17 meets rt 3 whenever we went to giants stadium. I want to say it was a comfort inn. And I think there is a Hampton inn right there also.

Wende, my family loves the Embassy Suites in Parsippany. Not too far from Erin, maybe 20 min? Beautiful hotel, awesome pool.

Thanks guys. Yea, finding just the hotel was sort of stressful for a moment there. Then I realized I wasn't going to find the right one unless I spent a little bit of money. I always get excited when we stay in hotels. They just remind me of vacation. :funny1:
