It is unfortunate that both The Jack & Newton Crosby cannot be a part of this years festivities, but this year marks the first huge marathon gig to gig for me! I will be playing with Basement Generals Sat afternoon, packin up my stuff and driving to the Jersey Shore in time to play a late set with Newton Crosby later that night. I hope my car holds up!! Congratulations Hamburger Hunt!!!
i love the marathon double...
The Point's first Stonehenge appearance when something like this for me:
5:45am - wake up
6:00am - start driving to Trout Run, PA in nasty thunderstorms with massive sheets of rain.
12:20pm - arrive, Trout Run. load in and stage immediately.
1:00pm to 2:30pm - play set with the Point (rain ceases, daylight shines through as we perform Octagon Sun, and a legend is formed).
4:00pm - depart, Trout Run. rain resumes.
10:30pm - arrive, Stony Brook, NY (Arby's stop = 30 minutes en route).
11:30pm - arrive, Thatch Meadow Farm Summer Solstice party.
12:00am - load in and stage Multiple Mono.
1:00am-2:00am - Multiple Mono live PA set @ SS'09.
4:00am - depart Thatch Meadow Farm.
4:15am - pass out in my own bed.
it was epic in all ways. roughly 13 hours in the car for 2 sets 12 hours apart. sleep is for pansies!
also on May 5, i'm playing a 3pm set in Brooklyn and an 8pm set in New Paltz. that should be fun!

I think you missed your roadside poop on Rt. 97.

I think you missed your roadside poop on Rt. 97.
negative, Ghost Rider. you've got your "waking up way too early in the morning with GoPlastic to travel 6 hours in a car to play music for our friends" stories mixed up.
you're thinking of the Beany/Wonka extravaganza. why a lactose intolerant kid eats pizza the night before a 6-hour drive...
