I'm back at work.. nausea is almost gone.. just take a pill for it every now and then. Now if i can just accept the hair and the huge scar i have, i will be okay.. I just also still in shock that this all happened to me. I should be like I surived cancer and i'm alive and be so happy about life but i'm not.. therapist time maybe

my apologies for posting in the 'women's circle'

but the shock that you feel is quite normal for cancer survivors. It is very healthy that you recognize this and are being honest with yourself and others about the challenges you are still having. Based on the character you have share with us in your writings here, I have no doubt you will beat these challenges just as you have beat the physical challenges of cancer.

In my neighborhood a fairly public representation of this is Jerry Remy, the announcer for the Boston Red Sox.

You went through a lot with this experience, and everyone's body and mind has a different way and process of healing and dealing with trauma.
Don't ever question or doubt yourself.
There is no wrong way to deal with such things.

Hello out there! Its been a couple months since my last chemo. I'm doing much better. My hair is slowly coming back. The biggest thing I have to deal with is the side effects. My hands and feet still get numb and in the morning ache and its hard to grip my tea cup! Also have not gotten my period back yet. Had little bit of it showing last week but nothing normal yet. Still time. I have my 3 month check up today actually!
Otherwise i'm doing much better. Still in shock sometimes. I got to stick my pen in my ponytail on to realize its not there right now.

I'm doing Relay for life coming up end of April My team name is Tune In, Turn On, Walk it out

coming out of treatment, you have loads of drive to get back to doing things but your body feels like it has been hit by truck...for awhile

my period came back about 7 months later

I hope you are gaining strength day by day and that your 3 month appointment went well.

hi! how are you feeling?

Feeling alright. I can't walk barefoot all the time i get weird pains in my feet that sucks. I have to work on eating better and exercise more. I wish my period would get back to normal it started to then its out of wack again. I also hate my Hair beyond belief. Its super curly i look like a poodle. I never had curly hair a day in my life and EVERYONE tells me how cute i look at yada yada, i just smile and take it then crying at home later.

But on the good side, test results have all been good i have my 6 month check up (can't believe its been that long) middle of this month. I'm sexual appetite is back(more than the b/f is ready for lol)

I also noticed this all started happening my life has changed so much and good in bad ways. but its thrown me so crazy that i'm dealing with getting myself out of funk. I moved in with b/f which is great but i moved farther away from some of my friends and lots some people i thought were great friends. I have not been to music concert since GOTV .. i just lost myself and working on finding a way back to me an realizing i have to find the new me...

I remember one time I went to squeeze my Dad's foot, and he YELLED. Feet become very sensitive after chemo. Same thing with my Mom. She also said she has a funny feeling in her hands, and she can't get a good grip on things.

Just want to let you all know I'm doing very well for most part. I'm engaged and buying a house. Move in like 2 and half weeks. I do have some concerns with me monthly P not being around last couple months but nurse says no cause for alarm yet. I hope shes right but in the road of I still want to have babies and I have one ovary left. So please send good vibes and say prayers for me in that aspect cause I would be lost if I could not.

But all in all things are going just big changes in my life I'm trying to deal with.Its been a bumpy year! And this morning is not helping at all, i could not sleep, took me 2 hours to get to work instead of 40-60 mins top. And I came in to realize I forgot to go online sat to order phish tickets. So mad at myself cause my memory is so bad that i have to leave notes everywhere and i forgot to take that one home with me. And the tickets are already ridic on stub hub. ugh!.. Going to go back to work try not to cry and get this day over with.
