i'm home and doing okay. i rushed out on monday morning because i can call for an appt at 8:30 and get in same day. as it happens i was just on my way out of the hotel room on my last trip at 8:30 and made the appt as i stood in the hallway outside. i got an 11am so i didn't have much time to spare and got put on another antibiotic and they took xrays to check for pneumonia. don't have word one way or the other on that but i don't think my chest hurts enough for that. once i picked up the rx, i went home and went right to bed until 10am today.

then the sound healer dude came and he just left a little while ago. i tried to focus on my feet and my lungs so we'll see what happens over the next few days.

to be honest, my throat has been bothering me for weeks and they kept telling me it was allergies so if mt jam put it 'over the edge' so that it actually turned into something that they can treat then i'm perfectly happy with how things worked out. i don't think i hurt my toes that much and i was going to have to see the podiatrist anyway so i have an appt with him on friday now whereas otherwise it might have taken a few weeks to get in so that also is working out okay.

bringing that to vibes would be great Dee, thanks so much. the box doesn't mean that much but as you can see it does have some stickers on it and i do use it. that seems to be the only "important" thing i forgot, so that's not too bad considering i packed up in the dark. no worries on the 3am, i keep laughing about your saying "well it didn't make any noise yesterdaaayyyy!!"

thanks to Tony, Cat, Steve, Jen and Dee for another wonderful mt jam. sorry i didn't make it back by the end of winwood to say my goodbyes, my feet were really hurting, it was chilly out and i knew it just would not be a good idea since i was already down with something. i had a great weekend though and look forward to next year. thank you to everyone i got to see, i love all of yous.

so, my 95 yr old grandma was diagnosed with Kidney cancer today. The docs said she could have had it for years and years undetected. Because of her age, they won't be giving her any treatment, but hopefully she will just keep on trekking.

you can see the giant bandaid on my toe, that one was a mess that day. that's mah new chair too - it has a bit of a reclining option and a footrest and the umbrella i already had. if the weather had cooperated i could have napped right on the concert field!

love the pic! it was so nice being able to be with the crew on the mountain, wasn't it? i'm glad the weather held out as well as it did. could have been a lot worse! could have done without the showers though. the one time i thought it was gonna keep coming, i walked all the way back to my car, put on my rainsuit, and walked back to greet the sunshine! i think it camr out just to toy with me!

doing ok, saw foot dude and had acu today. foot dude says i may lose either or both big toe nails and in general i just have chemo toes. we will re-visit and re-assess after chemo unless they start to loosen, then i have to call. i used to have cute toes. i wish i had taken a picture of them, before. oh well.

love those wigs, which are you going to get? i like the light purple ones and the bright blue one and the...... i do find the wigs to be awfully warm, i plan to rock 'em at night at vibes though.

we should order one for Diddy, on the last page he said he needed one.

the benadryl is hitting me hard during the taxol infusions. i'm so nauseous and dizzy until i pass out but at least it seems i'm then going to sleep through the whole thing which isn't the worst thing in the world. it was still about 5 1/2 hours all together though. and i'm more tired today than i expected but the pain isn't due till tomorrow so we'll see if the acu helps. she also worked on my lungs so i hope to be able to go see my dad in the hospital tomorrow. he heard me cough on the phone and said stay away. which is fair, nobody wants to listen to the rattly cough i've got going right now.... ugh. frustrating evening.... i need more sleep too......

interesting day... more fatigue a little earlier on, noticed that yesterday too. the taxol pain is less overall and less in the hips, knees and muscle groups, but more in the armpit/incision area which is...... disconcerting. i think i'm going to take some ibuprofen for now, tomorrow will be the bigger test. rather fascinating to note the differences, regardless....

ouch freakin ouch. not sure what i'm going to take yet but it's going to be something. still better than last round though, so far at least.

i'm losing more hair thanks to the taxol. the mohawk seems to have fallen out and now i'm an overall sort of fuzz. not even sure if it will grow and if i'll have to have my head shaved again, or not. i'm still hoping to keep the eyelashes and what remains of the eyebrows of course but since i still have at least 6 weeks of side effects to go yet, it seems unlikely, now. *sigh* oh well... it's not like there aren't any advantages to being bald, i admit that.... but i like having eyebrows and eyelashes..........
