doing okay, i'm on antibiotics "to be safe", i have a really sore throat and super swollen glands. yesterday my neck was so thick it looked like it belonged to a male bodybuilder. doing better today though.

i got out of the house and went to the grocery store, was stopped by someone who told me they were a 7 year survivor and got all teary all over again, then i ran into my friend Sandi who gave me a bunch of hugs right there next to the hummus. she said that a lady who we don't know but saw the play for ray fb page had stopped at Sandi's store and had a bc warrior t-shirt for me and asked her to give it to me, so Sandi went out and got it. how randomly nice and unusual for someone to do, don't you think?

anyway, who couldn't be doing better after that. it could be sooooo much worse, right? right.

How's it going today?

okay today.

had good numbers in my bloodwork checkup, got my toe looked at, got put on another Rx, bought some socks and a sandwich, now i'm home till my brother's b.day dinner tonight.

and the good news is that i'm already on antibiotics so at least the toe shouldn't get infected. the bad news is that i have an ingrown toenail, which i cut back way too far when it softened up following their instructions to moisturize my feet better. i was scolded. no toenail cutting, only filing, until after chemo is done and then they'll send me to a podiatrist. bad girl. normally at this time of year i'm working hard to toughen the soles of my feet for summer.

i also now have the lines on my fingernails which i "shouldn't" have yet, but hopefully it won't go any farther and i won't lose any nails. i'll have them do the ice gloves during the whole treatment, from here on out. and i figured out that wearing the wigs with no cap causes the rash, so that's progress too. overall it was a good appt and we laughed. i never went to my primary until i had a list of complaints but here i am in my new life, creating a list of them, for weekly review! at their request!
