yes, round 2 is this morning. thanks Matt, i'm bringin' my ipod even though someone will be there to keep me company. i'm so upset about my hair! i guess i didn't visualize this part enough.... i literally felt my scalp change on sunday so i've known it's happening but still.... i'm not ready for this part.

I have a friend who went through chemo a few years back and her hair came back fuller and more beautiful than ever!
The one thing that really bothered her was not having hair in her nostrils.
She said that it's the hair that makes you feel the moisture sliding down, so carry a handkerchief at all times.

I could not imagine loosing all your hair, but look at the upside...it'll be out in the warm months not cold It'll come back all fresh and healthy, we all love you (not your hair) and that will NEVER end, and you have a very creative group of friends over here that can think of all sorts of fun things to do with head while it's hairless.

they mean a LOT Nikki, don't ever think they don't. thank you i usually feel like apologizing for sharing all of this with you guys! thanks to you all, i love you all. it really helps to be reminded that i am loved so much. but Kerri didn't have to go grey at the same time.

i have my hive again but it's not as big as last time. i totally see how people go to sleep while they get their chemo. i used the hot pack again for my sinuses and also brought eucalyptus oil and did some facial massage so that should be better this time around. i ate a few pb crackers this time and am not as light headed, too.

the ride has started, for your safety please keep arms and legs inside the cabin.

I think hearing how you're doing and being able to share this experience with you (as much as we can in this very limited message board way) is helpful for you AND for us, Nancy, and you should never feel the need to apologize. I'm SO grateful that you're sharing and that we can be of whatever help we can offer here, whether it's physical stuff or just cyber-hugs.

you are both beautiful too, men or not, obviously, and i thank you both. i see all those fb pics where my hair is all tucked up in my hat due to sun and/or heat and i know what that looks like but it's not the same and i just can't help it. the eyelashes and eyebrows are hanging on for today though, so i guess that's something..... edit - but oh dear!!! hair in umm, other areas, is going fast! i'll have to check my nose in the morning, i did know about the drippy nose tendency due to lack of nose hair. because, well, at this point, just why the fuck not add that into the mix, eh???

put little ponytails in last night and slept in the recliner with my terrapin hat on so they didn't get too messed up. have breakfast on the stove then i'm going to sit on the floor in front of my mirrors again and braid the ponytails up, call my hairdresser a little before 9am and see when she can get me in and i'll cut the braids off just before i go. i told her last time i was in that there will be no appt making for a week from now, and that when i call the jig is already up and it's time. she does walk ins of course so we'll see what she says. and i think i'm keeping my hair. i know some will think that's selfish but dammit! it's almost 51 year old colored hair that's really faded now because i didn't get it done the first week of april. so i'm keeping it. that and my neulasta shot at 2pm today are on tap and that's it, mostly resting. and i have to put the clean sheets on the bed.
