So, How Do you actually GET a urine sample from a cat???? lol.
there's a couple of ways, actually.
with Tigger i could just slide something underneath her as she was getting ready to pee and she'd pee in whatever that was - a shallow lid to something for example. with Cassady i used the small litter box that she knows from when i'm scrubbing down the big one, and put just a tiny bit, like a tablespoon, of litter in it. when she peed last night most of it was absorbed by the litter - good shot! - but this morning there was liquid i could pour into an old pill bottle.

Thanks! Hopefully I wont need to try that anytime soon... lol. (((Cassady)))

Cassady seems to be peeing okay but so did Zevon at first so we'll see..... dropped her urine sample off this morning, went out to breakfast, and then went to the hospital for my mid-round checkup. my bloodwook
is not bad!
my white cell count is as low as they'd ever want it to be on a treatment day but since it's mid treatment, it's really pretty darned acceptable right now. my anc count - that counts one particular type of white cell - is below normal where if it were treatment day they'd have to delay but since i'm at my expected low point they think that it's pretty good, too. so overall and considering, it was all pretty good news.
oh, and even though i feel like i've been stuffing my face all the time, i didn't lose or gain a single pound - yay me.
When my Dad's bwhite blood cell count gets low during chemo, they give him a shot (it's happened 2 times so far) and the following week his count is through the roof

neulasta? i get that the day after every treatment. i haven't asked specifically, what they would do if my count was 1000 on the off-week, so there could very well be another droog or maybe i'd get that again. hmmm, not sure.....When my Dad's bwhite blood cell count gets low during chemo, they give him a shot (it's happened 2 times so far) and the following week his count is through the roof

i'm doing fine w/out the bracelets now Nikki. i know when i don't need them because i can also tell when they are working - i get head rushes, of various intensities. without the bracelets those head rushes would correspond with the intensity of the wave of nausea including most likely, the rather unpleasant activity associated with same.
but i'm definitely enjoying feeling good these last few, and next couple of, days. i know they are precious now, acupuncture or no acupuncture!

nancy, i bought some raw, organic sauerkraut at the grower's market this weekend and thought about you: http://www.nutraingr...f-breast-cancer http://www.midvalley...Sauerkraut.html
'the association of sauerkraut and lower rates of breast cancer among polish immigrants', huh?
because it couldn't have been the turkey kielbasa, could it.
