Went out to Italian CA cuisine tonight, you know the type of place where the $12 soup comes in this HUGE gorgeous bowl with a tiny little residue of 2oz of soup in it. 

 

Well my $29 "Day boat scallops" tasted like they had been raised in the sewer. Just the nastiest thing I had ever tasted. So naturally I sent them back with the words "Have the chef taste this and tell you what he thinks of it!"

 

Well, one of the people I was with thought this was just terribly "rude" of me and that I should have just kept quiet.  Are you fucking kidding me????

besides for the obvious reasons, i've sent food back and had them remove it from the bill, as it was brought to the table cold and after everyone else had finished their meals.  no tip for you!

Once we were at a restaurant we were eating our salad - Bud was almost done with his when he went to get that last piece of ruffage and it moved.....it was a slug.  He was horrified......mellow bud is not one to complain, so we switched salads and I told Bud to finish up his beer - We ended up with free beer/apps/salad and slugs and a gift certificate to come back to "try out" the establishment again....

Of course!!! It was Peter Christine's in New London, NH and its was (do not know if they are still open...) - a great restaurant.....Not sure if we ordered salad the second time around....
