JerseyThug... It is definitely a 'me' song and has special meaning for my pops and I.

I also like "Teach your children" as I remember that song from an i-max movie i've seen with my dad and it reaffirmed my want to join the peace corps.

the references in that song just resonate with me. though my dad would have insisted on Daddy's Little Girl. that was his go-to father/daughter dance song, and he danced to that with both of my sisters at THEIR weddings.

All I know is that I'd want the song to be 2 minutes or under... I don't think I'll do the daughter-daddy dance thing... Unless it's *really* important to my dad... I dunno, I don't really want to do any of those "center-of-attention" dances at our jubilee to be 100% honest... Well, I'd do one with Tyler I guess, but one is more than enough for me... I'm kinda shy.

I know what you mean honey but I did have to laugh when I read that!

I know, right? Folks always laugh when I say I am shy, but it's true... It's a specific thing, tho - I'm not shy when it comes to spontaneous things, but when it's a planned thing - like a dance or speech in front of everyone, for instance - then I am incredibly shy... So the idea of having to perform multiple dances in front of folks is a little more than daunting to me.

That said, we're not going for traditional in any sense, so the whole thing may be avoided yet!

And Kramer, I hear ya... I can not be "lead" in a dance... My feet just don't work that way...
