I'm not even sure I can pick out an absolute favorite, but one that stands out in my memory is:

04-09-83 Hampton Coliseum, Hampton, Va. (Sat)
1: Bertha> Promised, West L. A., Esau, Candyman, Minglewood, B. E. Women, L. L. Rain, China Cat> I Know You Rider
2: Help> Slipknot> Franklin's> Truckin> Smokestack Jam> Drumz> Throwing Stones> Black Peter> GDTRFB> Saturday Night E: Satisfaction

...for some reason we all knew they were opening the 2nd set with Help > Slip (and it was a breakout in '83).

3/30/1990 at Nassau Coliseum always stuck out. It was the night after the famous Branford sit in and while it wasn't the greatest show, it still rocked! I remember it more for it being the show where a big group of friends from high school all got tickets, and we all met up in the show. The friends of ours who were there that didn't get it understood by the time we were walking out the venue!!

To me it is a tossup. 10/30-31/70. My only time seeing Pigpen. Changed my life for lyphe. Summer Jam 1973 Watkins Glen stands out.

6/19/95 Giants Stadium

front row, parked right in front of Jerry on my birthday...i'm not a fan of Giants Stadium, and none of the shows i caught hit the high notes i'd come to love from their recordings, but being surprised with front row seats on my birthday, and so many other wonderful surprises that day, made it really special for me.

I don't think I can pick just one to be my favorite - but those 89 Hampton Warlocks shows have to be right up there, esp. the Dark Star night. That whole second set blew me right through the back wall of the Coliseum.

Set 1
Feel Like A Stranger, Built To Last, Little Red Rooster, Ramble On Rose, We Can Run But We Can't Hide, Jack A Roe, Memphis Blues, Row Jimmy, The Music Never Stopped

Set 2
Playin' In The Band-> Uncle John's Band-> Playin' In The Band Reprise, Dark Star-> Drums-> Jam-> Death Don't Have No Mercy-> Dear Mr. Fantasy-> Hey Jude Reprise-> Throwing Stones-> Good Lovin', E: Attics Of My Life

Yeah, that answer is about 16 years old now, D. You might want to come up with a new response. ;)

i honestly couldn't tell you how good or bad it was. this is one show where i was so completely overwhelmed by the whole...everything-ness...of the night, that it could have been the worst show they ever played and i probably would have the best memories of it anyway.

i'm glad Liz got to see him at least once :) i know i missed out on so much by discovering them in the 90s (everyone i ever went to a show with had seen 200+ shows, so i heard that a LOT  ) but i gained so much by discovering them, period, that i can't be too regretful about anything.

One I'll never forget was Dylan and the Dead at Oakland Coliseum. The Dead played two sets then Dylan came on, sounded like a crow had died in his throat, and 10 minutes after the start of his set, the whole place cleared out.

Hmmm...there was that shoreline show where i saw a UFO fly over the top of the stage during the 1st set or that 93' Autzen stadium 2 show run. Hard to say really. The Warlock shows were cool and i always had a good time at the Gardens (both of them).
