Here's a perfect example of judging without listening. Growing up in my circle of friends it was the consensus that Neil Diamond sucked. I assumed, from my limited exposure, they were correct and became a detractor. Karen is a big fan so I bought her the new Neil Diamond's Greatest Hits for Christmas. Long story short, I gave it a critical listen and there is a lot of great music... I know, I know, see what happens when you assume...

I dig Neil D. - I own a bunch of his albums from the '70s. I got to see him live in Albany about three and a half years ago, with the boardie jess/sugareis. I'm glad I got to see him (especially for free!). The show was really good... he was in great voice, and his band - which included Ron Tutt, drummer for JGB... the real JGB, not the MSB "JGB"
- was top-notch!!

http://www.amazon.co...760_cs_sce_dp_1Link to Greatest Hits on amazon? Or recommend one of his albums? I find myself in a very similar situation, except I have yet to give it a real listen.

Jews shouldn't sing Christmas songs.
My gf and her sisters LOVE Christmas music, movies, decorations, etc. I found this incredibly odd, since they are Jewish. They think it's completely normal, since most of their family and friends do too.
With a little research, I found that historically, it was Jewish actors and actresses that performed in all the Christian plays because the Christians wouldn't be religiously allowed to "work" on Christmas day.
