thanks to you both as well.
colonoscopy is over with, whew!!! this dr was MUCH better than the one i'd been seeing in the past and i'm all set for 5 yrs with this one. i'd give this dr one thumb up, his ass.
(not one of mine)
on to next week's double lumpectomy. if all things happen for a reason, then it's the 9mm lump i can't feel that i need to be concerned with, and not the giant painful one, but we shall see.

thank you so much, all of you. i so appreciate the support, the posts to my thread, the PMs, the everything.
saw my dad tonight and he must have asked olga to help him get more details. my dad does NOT do female things!
(when we were growing up all my sister and i had to do was keep one tampon within sight from the doorway of our bedrooms and he absolutely would NOT step inside!!!!!
)
i do sort of remember telling my dad something after he picked me up on monday but really have no idea now, what i said!
i covered everything with them tonight and they understand what the deal is, with olga understanding more of the actual vocabulary perhaps than my dad. but i think i did okay and i think he understands the what and why, too. and olga was even nice about it!
so , if everything can just go fine and the biopsies can come back just fine, so that i don't fuck up their trip to africa next month, then everything will be just fine.

i found out how to decaf my own tea yesterday!
we have a wonderful local tea shop and i stopped in yesterday. they laughed when i asked if they had a decaf tea that tasted like black tea and then said 'well you can decaf your own you know.'
they do not buy decaf black teas because they can't be guaranteed of a natural decaf process being used, even with organically grown teas.
all you do is pour hot, not boiling, water over the tea leaves, whether they be in a strainer or bag, and just leave for 30 seconds. discard that water, keep the tea leaves - those leaves are now 90% caffeine free, which is about what all "decaf tea" that you would ever get, is. so you just pour fresh water over the tea again, and that's the cup you drink!
how cool is that!!????!??
