They gave us great gag this year that no one was expecting. I certainly wasn't expecting people to get lifted out of the audience and to start dancing in mid air. And I really didn't expect Trey and Mike to get lifted into the air on teeny Uplatforms either!
Was it the greatest Phish show ever performed? No. It wasn't. Then again, if you look back at past New Years Eve shows, almost none of them are considered super amazing (with the exception, perhaps, of 12/31/95).
It was a good show and I had a great time with great friends. Thank you Phish for ringing out 2011 with a bang!

Let's not forget Big Cypress. Not many bands play for 7 hours straight.

As always, people put too much hype and expectation behind it being the "new years show."

Wasnt there but listened to most on broadcast.
I agree in general and my feeling is the same as my wonder twin said a while back.
Better than than Hiatus.
