so today was the most tempted i've been to add a 5th cat! this boy was soooo much like floyd, same build, probably about the same age, very relaxed. must have been norwegian forest cat or maine coon or whateverthehell floyd is
he had long hair sticking out on the bottom of his feets and that same kind of luxurious fur coat.
he had the same pink nose but he had beautiful light yellow eyes. (floyd's are green blue) he was about the same size, maybe a longer face. i'm going to keep going back and visit him until either;
a) someone adopts him or
i just take him home

plus last night we talked about it and really can't have 5 cats... but when i said, "if he's still there next time i go, i'm bringing him home", the husband did NOT say, "no".

anyway, i came home and talked to the husband who made some good points about why we can't have more than 4 cats.. space, money and all that stupid practical type of stuff he made some good points about how it might not be fair to the cats we already have. so i agreed. then he said, "well, maybe i'll go over and take a look at him if he's still there this weekend"...
it's so nice to live with another crazycatperson

our friend Bill has some rescue kittens (2 boys--one is orange) he wants us to adopt. we talked it over and were going to go see them this week but then Chase broke his foot and we really need him to be mobile to make sure they don't get into anything and to break up spats between them and our older ones. Plus Atticus and Finch really like being the only cats..they are jealous nellies and I just don't think it's a good idea.

but i'm still going to ask him if he wants to go to petco tomorrow

we talked it over a lot. a lot a lot. and agreed we just can't add a 5th cat right now. then floyd brought that point home by needing to go to the vet this morning for an abscess draining which cost close to 100 bucks!
there was this cat there once, zip, who i kept going to visit. i figured on one would take him.. he was huge and not that great looking (poor guy!) and had a big scar on his nose but after about 3 1/2 weeks, someone took him home. so there is hope for the orange floydian cat
