Yes, saw them several times in the 80's, maybe once 10 years ago. I think John Cale (solo) opened for them at The Ritz NYC.

Out there is right. Theatrical in a surreal way. I remember seeing lead singer, David Thomas playing something like an alto sax lead for a couple of minutes, until I realized it was the madman/synth box guy that David was mimicking visually. Funny shit. I dug 'em. :one:
