Just found out that my friend David passed on from cancer this morning.

Matt, Brad, David... Three young men, cut down in their prime.

I love you, my brothers. I don't know why you had to go away from us all, but I wish you safe travels and look forward to our crossing paths again some day, some way.

i lost my dad and one of my best friends. a couple of other friends too... it was a rough one!

i spent new year's eve on the "comfort care" floor of the hospital where my dad died. i noticed no one says "happy new year" at midnight

omg, they were the best! i admire those nurses. i am in total awe of what they do. i talked with one nurse who was practicing mindfulness meditation to help her do her job with the most compassion. she was working days and i'm glad my dad passed during her shift because she was one of the most remarkable people i have ever met in my entire life

my grandma passed last night, found out my chirpractor's wife passed in august, I'm so ready to stick a fork in 2011

you know, i was thinking about this last night, how years go and how we mark time. but time has no idea that we mark it... so really it's just a day at a time or really, a moment...
