Ok, all of you foodies! They opened a new restaurant by us and I am planning on getting dinner there one night this week. I've had Thai food before, but never Vietnamese and I have been wanting to try it.
i'd love to hear all of your suggestions for what I should try.

ok, so i am going to go for the spring rolls and the pho. have to see what my hubby wants.
micki, you know, you could come down for a visit. we could have sweet corn quesadillas for lunch and then go to this place for dinner. just sayin'.
it's been too long.

Sorry! I recommend going with a com dac biet dish. It's basically Vietnamese mixed grill. Great sampling of everything. Get it a as a bun which is a noodle bowl. So good. For curry I recommend Massaman. It's not usually killer spicy, but it's influenced by Indian food so it's full of flavor.

that menu isn't intimidating at all...i'd just pick the dishes that feature ingredients you'd gravitate toward naturally
i love pho and massamun curry dishes and, well, anything Vietnamese really. pad thai can be really good depending on the place too. enjoy, Elise!

perhaps a bit late for this visit (just saw the thread, you're likely dining now...) but you can judge a Viet place on the quality of the pho, of course. good pho = everything else is going to be good, IMHO. spring rolls are a must. i prefer yellow curries to massamun or red, but they tend to be on the spicy side.
thai tea is good. viet coffee is better. i'm making a glass of it right now.
