a long time ago when I worked in the Corporate side of life, I worked with this woman - who would nuke this stuff up.. and I don't know what the deal was but it omitted a odor that literally made me ill... migraines and wretching. I had to leave the building.

If someone microwaves fish however..
I think this may be the reason I don't like it (at work). Plus the same microwave is used to make lunch (fish) and pop corn. And only cleaned out every 2 or 3 weeks.
I do not mind it out side of work. Just in the office it lingers.

i generally don't like popcorn anyway, so this doesn't impact the quality of life index here, at least for me.
but with popcorn being a relatively healthy snack, i can see it being popular in offices where it's allowed, especially by those looking to munch without ingesting too many calories.

you could always just ask them...that's what i'd do. "just out of curiosity..."
That is the thing, I have no idea who it is.
Plus there is also an occasional afternoon popcorn from a different group on our floor.
I like popcorn everywhere except where I do not have the option of having some. Then the smell just annoys me because they will and have not share.

too many times many office workers receive maybe two or three popped kernels while the popcorn makers keep the majority to themselves!!!
you should perform a sit-in and circle the microwave to block the 1%er popcorn makers until they learn to distribute the popcorn evenly or at least share more of it to the 99%ers.

Popcorn for breakfast is certainly healthier than a bowl of Kellogg's Corn Pops...
Goood for them. Why does everyone in the office have to smell their breakfast everyday?
No one smells my muffin, toast or egg sandwich most mornings when I have breafast at my desk.
Taking other co workers in to account would be nice.
PS. On occasion go for it, but everyday? come on? I am sick of the smell.
PPS. This still continues.
