Before 10:30am? No Way.

After 2pm? I am ok with it, but still do not like it.

Why would someone make Popcorn every day (like they do in my office)?

Sorry I just like popcorn at the movie not while I am at work, and not every day.

I've never understood why people have an aversion to the smell of popcorn. I never eat popcorn, but I like the smell.

If someone microwaves fish however.. :joker:

I like to leave it in the microwave for at least 11 minutes to be sure it's all popped. It's nice to add some fish oil before heating too.

a long time ago when I worked in the Corporate side of life, I worked with this woman - who would nuke this stuff up.. and I don't know what the deal was but it omitted a odor that literally made me ill... migraines and wretching. I had to leave the building. :plain:

I think this may be the reason I don't like it (at work). Plus the same microwave is used to make lunch (fish) and pop corn. And only cleaned out every 2 or 3 weeks.

I do not mind it out side of work. Just in the office it lingers.

we have a no-popcorn-in-the-microwave rule after someone left the nukebox unattended and it set the bag on fire and nearly burned the library down.

i generally don't like popcorn anyway, so this doesn't impact the quality of life index here, at least for me.

but with popcorn being a relatively healthy snack, i can see it being popular in offices where it's allowed, especially by those looking to munch without ingesting too many calories.

That is the thing, I have no idea who it is.

Plus there is also an occasional afternoon popcorn from a different group on our floor.

I like popcorn everywhere except where I do not have the option of having some. Then the smell just annoys me because they will and have not share.

At a caterer's liquidation sale, I reluctantly bought a commercial popcorn maker. Having no room at home to store it, it came to the office. I make popcorn 2 or 3x a week. The thing is always full.

As long as it's not burnt, I don't give a shit what they make in the microwave or toaster oven. There is nothing worse than burnt popcorn or toast drifting through the halls. :puke:

occupy office popcorn making...unless they are distributing it equally!!!

too many times many office workers receive maybe two or three popped kernels while the popcorn makers keep the majority to themselves!!!

you should perform a sit-in and circle the microwave to block the 1%er popcorn makers until they learn to distribute the popcorn evenly or at least share more of it to the 99%ers.

I know a otherwise intelligent guy at the office I used to be at who decided he would nuke an egg for lunch.

But rather than placing the cracked open egg in an appropriate dish, he placed the full egg in the nuker.

KABOOM!

Popcorn for breakfast is certainly healthier than a bowl of Kellogg's Corn Pops...

Goood for them.  Why does everyone in the office have to smell their breakfast everyday?

No one smells my muffin, toast or egg sandwich most mornings when I have breafast at my desk.

Taking other co workers in to account would be nice.

PS.  On occasion go for it, but everyday?  come on?  I am sick of the smell.

PPS.  This still continues.
