there is a family close to mine..they have 2 boys...the younger is autistic..the older has depression..older son injures the younger, then feels bad about it. So he jumps out of his moms car while she is cruising down the highway....he lost most of his face and has been on life support for two weeks. He just came out of it and spoke for the first time. Not sure if I'm even happy he's still alive , it's the suckiest feeling. If the docs can't figure out how to replace the sinus cavities he no longer has, he could die from the first major germ he encounters that travels to his brain... if some healing and sanity vibes could go out to the Taylor family in CT , that'd be nice. Thanks.

thanks for the support , and for having a place here to vent...I have had a need to speak about this, but I've bummed out the few close people to me that I can speak with candidly...it's so intense, it's hard to know how to be supportive of the family..lots of shock and disbelief, and colliding feelings of ...feelings. Aside from making meals and helping with domestic stuff...

What TEO said, and feel free to vent away. It's not easy having feelings about stuff, sometimes, especially when hard times like that are being had. Sounds like you're doing all you can. I'm sure whatever hand you are lending with meals and domestic stuff is appreciated.

thanks for the good vibes...Mikey (the boy thats in the hospital) had some sort of plate attached to his forehead area...so there is reconstruction going on now...his mom is back to work....good for bills and good for distracting...she is a school bus driver, so there is a ready circle of friends to take turns occupying the younger brother...their dad killed someone 2 years ago and is not able to be in the picture... to have so much drama in ones life is akin to rolling the odometer forward by 50k....thankfully there is a strong man in their lives that keeps some stability........I'll keep you posted as the situation evolves. Thanks for the support.

well...he's now physically mobile, is remembering friends and family, and might be able to live at home...crazy how the brain can recover...this is great news !...the reconstruction came out very good..glass eye...he will have emotional issues forever , but at least he is functional . So there was some light after all .
