nothing but a troublemaking badass sonofabitch
you know for years the only way i could get hurricanes to leda and the staff was to find a way backstage thru the gauntlet of security and then to knock on various trailer doors.
Then it hit me.
They would be where the $$ is at and what trailer would have that in it.......why the one outside with the cop gaurding it of course.......duh.
Man you should have seen everyones faces when i showed up toting gallon jugs and knocking on the door with the cop.
I may be a bit of a hippy but i'm not stupid
anyway.....now that friends are on staff the red juice just gets delivered but i do miss sneaking around running the security gauntlet and finding the weak spot to get backstage.
Maybe this year i will do it just for fun

Sometimes it's all about the challenge
I'm picturing you sneaking around like Belushi breaking into Dean Wormer's office with the horse

Dirty rice simmering away on the stove, jambalaya is next. Gotta get the rest of the gear up from the basement & out of the garage, finish packing clothes and remember how it all fits in the truck.
And Chris is still sleeping.
Let the madness begin!!!
Well, he was up past 2am goofing off here so......

I'm not surprised, he's usually up later than me. But as long as he's conscious when its time to pack the truck, all is well. I've been doing all the prep & packing alone for so many years because he's usually stuck working right up until we leave, its going to be weird (and wonderful) actually having help this time!

You should
napdrink beer while he packs the truck this year.
Oh, that's a given, but we'll both be drinking & packing most likely. I'm just excited at the prospect of being finished early enough to get a decent night's sleep this year. This may be the first Vibes in a long time that you won't catch me napping when you roll in.

Stuff will always be forgotten.
Hopefully it won't be really important stuff.
I hope so, too. I forgot to get bug spray while I was at Target so I found a half a bottle of Off!, a natural flea/tick/mosquito repellent that I'm not sure where it came from but was in our hall closet, and those bug repelling bracelet things.
Oh and my mini Super Soaker water gun. And my bubble wand....and I may have fit a light-up sword in my duffel to.
Okay so I lied I TOTALLY have everything.

I think the tiara really makes the outfit.
That was on my birthday this year, it was on a Monday so I told my roomie I was gonna celebrate with a light saber and a tiara. This gif sums up my night...WHOO party hard~*
Indeed. All she needs are fairy wings.
I actually wanted to bring some with me! I have a pair haha but I'm wearing a backpack all day so I didn't think they'd be a good idea. But yes they would be awesome haha

It is hot as hell outside, just going from the office to the parking lot across the street = me sweating bullets. It's insane but yeah the rain should probably be even more fun, 10 bucks says it starts as I arrive on site haha
And I'm sure you're all completely normal freaks

Finished cooking & bagging the dirty rice & the jambalaya. Transferred rum into plastic. Most of my clothes are packed. Gotta get the rest of the crap out of the basement.
Haven't put a damn thing in the truck yet. Outside temp is 96 with heat index at 106 at the moment.
Still need to go out & do one last errand run. Hoping to stay on track and not be losing my mind at midnight. Again.
