Amazing location, amazing new friends, amazing music!

Highlights included Beats Antique (a must see band if you havent), Lettuce, Dumpstafunk, Funky Meters, John Scofield's Piety Street, Sister Sparrow and The Dirty Birds, Zach Deputy, and Chali2Na

Tabbooma was a great traveling companion and always a pleasure to spend time with Spidergawd and Karen.

Once again, it was such a great time! It was a real treat to have Ryan and Tabbooma join us - it was like they were always there. Got really cold on Friday night; reports were around 28 degrees! But the campfire at our site was hot, and so was the music, so it was fine. In fact, I have to say I prefer colder weather for a festival. You bundle up and groove!

I have to say I've not seen Trey or teh Phish from Vermont live before, but I've been digging some of his recent solo stuff on Jam On. It was a good show, although I found the sound to be a bit low and it was kind of tough to hear Trey clearly. His band was smoking, though. All in all it was good, but I wouldn't call it the highlight of the weekend.

Dumpstafunk is always a highlight for me, and they sure didn't disappoint this time. The Silent Disco was freakin' cool. Zach kicked some serious ass! Lettuce shredded faces off, too.

I sucked at the camera, unfortunately, so I have hardly any pictures. I'll try and assemble the ones the rest of the crew took and post a few.

Already looking forward to next year. Spirit of Suwannee Music Park is the best festival venue anywhere, hands down.

This has quickly become one of my favorite events. Hope to see even more boardies there next time! And Foo, you were missed.

Canoeing on the Suwanee is a good time too

I'll go see beats antique with you sometime. They are often in the Northeast and you know how I love spunion bands:pimp::smile: I really dig their stuff. Was disapointed with their set at Camp last summer but I think that had more to do with them being on right after I got in and set up camp. Not the ideal time to rush to the stage and take in a band.

word
I think I pulled that show from etree, but definitely haven't listened to it yet. I can probably burn it for him if he wants a copy if I did.
