6 inches of snow fell on Killington Mtn last night!

Lots of leaves still on the trees here in Albany. Four to eight inches of snow expected tonight. Could be trouble with downed trees and power lines. I like the snow and all but a little more fall here in the valley would be OK with me.

That being said....seeing that pic of the guns running sure makes me want to make a few turns.

If I weren't so busy with work and school and have zero time to ski, I'd be super pissed right now. Really hoping for some good snow right after New Years when I have 8 days off from both.

Yup, I'm pretty damn pissed about this. I've been trying to make myself feel better by searching the internet for some positive news about the weather somewhere. Best I came up with was that it will be an overall warmer winter, but snowfall should be average. We just need to get through this slow start. We may give the white strip of death a go at Sugarbush tomorrow. I don't care if I ski it 5 times and go home. I just want to ski!

On Saturday Jan 14 and on Sat Feb 4 The Kind Buds are playing 2 gigs each day at Sugarbush-

Jan 14 they play an apres ski at Sugarbush North from 3 - 6 PM - then at 9 PM they play SlideBrook Lodge & Tavern - this is a fun place - good vibe - rooms to rent for the night are cheap and clean too......

On Feb 4 The Kind Buds play CastleRock Pub from 3 - 6 PM and then at 9 PM SlideBrook Lodge & Tavern again.....its fun, fun , fun!

Colorado still is waiting too! Arapahoe Basin has been open for weeks and weeks but is still sort of weak with like 5 runs open!

Yeah...Britt told me she had a great day at Wolf Creek and rode a great deal of the terrain there. I never had the oppertunity to ski at Wolf Creek when I lived in Colorado but I think it's one of those areas where it's like anything goes...just be careful! I miss skiing the Colorado passes like Loveland & Berthoud.

Her timing sounds good. I know wolf creek just got slammed. I'm only 4 hours away, I'll be going this winter hopefully, especially on college days when it's like $30

I'm anxiously awaiting for the season to get going! My 4 year old is taking lessons every Saturday at Bolton, which will give me a few hours to ride by myself. Woo hoo!!

Also looking forward to some Kind Buds at the mt. this year.

Just got my new powder skis on ebay!! Plan on using them at Snowbird and Alta this season.

Brand new powder skis for Little Cottonwood Canyon! That sounds like an epic plan! Who makes the skis you bought? Post pictures and shit! I live vicariously through you skiers. Skis now a days are not anything like what I was skiing on before my injury. I had these slightly parabolic Solomon 191cm. skis that were perfect for me a couple of those Colorado winters.

Hey wheels! I got last year's model of the Dynastar Legend Pro Riders, brand new. These will be the widest skis i've tried, 115 mm at the waist. Now that I'm out West, I felt it would be worth it to have these in the quiver for that day after the big storms dump. I've been a loyal Dynastar fan since the first pair I bought around ten years ago. This is the second set of Legends that I'll own.

It was a bit crazy and the snow sucked, so we took a few runs and went home. We need seriously need some snow. Forecast for the week is calling for a few really warm days Go figure...my first winter in VT and my first time ever with a season pass, and winter just isn't coming!

There is snow in the Tug Hill area (something like 21"). Might head there to XC ski.

I was able to XC on my land this past week. Barely covered, but it was real nice

Riding Durango Mountain Resort on Sunday. This is shaping up to be an epic year, especially good considering last year I didn't get out ONCE due to my ankle

That is a good deal!!! You always manage to find them Sugarbush was running a deal for a $300 season pass if you're between 19 and 29. Kyle's job hooked him up with a pass for about the same price, so we're good to go. We just need it to snow first. I'm happy to hear this season is looking good for you! You deserve it

And Wheels, I am hoping that will be me by February!! It's gotta snow sometime.....
