she must have been hanging on for dear life because she didn't fall out! so i rolled it a bit in my arms to loosen her grip and then shook it a little again. one back leg falls out and starts poking around in the air trying to find firm ground. then the 2nd back leg falls out so she's got two legs hanging down from this tower thing but from the waist up is still in the cubby! it was very funny and very cartoon-like! :lmao:

this reminds me of vet visits with my old kitty stella (RIP  )
she was a large, sturdy maine coon, jet black and with TONS of attitude
she would go into the carrier with some fussing but would not come out till she got back into her house
at the vet there were 4 techs and me and the dr all trying to coax her out but she stuck a leg in each corner around the opening with her butt firmly planted against the back wall and she was
not. going. anywhere.
even if they tipped it completely upside-down and shook it

they finally decided after bloodshed and frustration that maybe giving her her shots thru the door wasnt a terrible idea after all :dunno:
:funny1:
in the end, i uwsed to have a favored tech run out to the lot and do it thru her carrier door, in my car cuz just being at the vet freaked her the frig out...

nancy, i used to rub tuna oil on her pills and she would gulp them down
nothing else worked
she could eat around anything and pill pockets were a joke to her
she would look at me like 'what? you think i am stupid?!' :lmao:

good luck with yer furbaby :v:

i have no trouble giving her the pills, it's just catching her TO give her the pills that's an issue. we're working on it. :)

we just take the top right off the carrier for Diamond at the vets, no muss no fuss and no place to hide! :tongue1: the others use a carrier that has a 2nd door on the top of it so that one's easier to use.

had the first check up today and not one thing is better. not one. :bang:

i was really sad going into the appt, it's hard to think of dr verra without thinking about Zevon..... anyway, we added atenolol to Cassady's regimen, once per day.

deja vu......

someone recently correlated the loss of Zevon with the sudden, so noticeable, appearance of the giant painful lump a couple of weeks afterwards.....
