as i read the article i looked for an example of why the u.s. troops would need immunity and the only example cited was controversy over a wiki leaks cable that alleges that iraqi civilians and children were killed in a raid by u.s. troops.
so, if i understand this correctly we are pressuring iraq to condone further military involvement which they may or may not want, contingent on the notion that we can do whatever to whomever without fear of prosecution...awesome.
