shit man.... we'll be there a long time
i'll drop by to say hi. will you be down there on Friday late? i'll be in NYC on unrelated non-business earlier that evening, and would be up for a trip downtown before heading back to LI, to show a lil' support.

After seeing the pilots’ professional protest, I made my way to Zuccotti Park, which sits in the shadow of the under-construction World Trade Center. It could easily be misinterpreted as a pre-Phish show parking lot. Cardboard signs, guys playing guitar, girls holding their fingers up for the international symbol for peace. There’s somewhat of a Shakedown Street with Halal carts, fresh fruit stands, smoothie hut and a bread stand. Oh, and a typical New York souvenir stand. There are sleeping bags and mattresses, couches and tables, even a little legal corner where people can go get free legal advice. Though, while I was there, there were no attorneys in the “legal center.”

what are they actually trying to shut down ?
NYSE / AMEX - mostly computer based systems these days with very few people phyisically at the markets
just as my out of work friends. NYSE HQ is moving from 14 Wall St at the end of the month.
Both exchanges have ghost exchanges set up out of state in case a real emergency happens.
as a symbol, Wall St is where it's at.
phyically, not any more
best of luck storming the castle

i guess they were never there before
these are the same carts and stands there were there everyday before and will be after
well except for the farmers market stands that had to shut down or relocate.

Tabbooma made up a really cool protest sign and is planning on being in the front row with all the other signs that range from "death to bankers" to "free the western porcupine" His sign will address the growing trend and loss of elbow room at the local chinese buffet. He probably will spell the words wrong
are you TRYING to incite a riot??

Tabbooma is on the fence right now on going down, wish it was a more centralized protest, like going after the corporate/wall street money influencing politics and leave it at that, the signs and interviews on TV are all over the place. So protesting the elbow room at the buffett really is not a reach, Tabbooma happens to like elbow room when he chooses his food at a buffet, or is it Boofet... Anyway, he will know by Friday if he is going down to see for himself. Oh and that piece of shit cop that maced those kids while they had them rounded up like trapped tuna in a net should be punished. Safe travels and peace for everyone that are going this weekend and that are already down there.
yea...im still in wait and see mode. i dont want to go down there for a party...i wanna go to be pissed off. and thats hard with so many hippys around:funny1:

If I had someone to take care of my kids, I'd be there
bring yo kids! show 'em that they'll end up living in a park and smelling terrible if they don't get jobs on Wall Street.
i'd stay into Saturday if i didn't have to be back for my son. that said, i don't think this is quite the place for children...at least not yet.

No, just a quiet protest that affects some of us in society, so Tabbooma figures he would join the thousands of other protesters that are protesting pretty much everything. We can make it one big happy protest
Are you bringing a grill? Maybe I'll come along.
