I must admit this band has never been on my radar. My brother gifted me a ticket to see them at the Klein last night. Frankly I went because John Hiatt was opening and I love John Hiatt.
Todd and the Monsters put on a great show! Fantastic songs, great playing and i could totally see them on Sunday afternoon at the Vibes.
Anybody else ever see them?

Saw them several times back in the days of the H.O.A.R.D.E. tour.
Some decent sets for sure. Did not know that they were still doing their thing. It would be fun to see them again.

Big Head at the Vibes: not so much!!

I use to catch Big Head Todd back in tiny bars in Denver around '91. Saw them once or twice after they got "big." Gotta say that I liked their sound better before they were more polished for commercial consumption. They wrote some pretty good songs, though. Not sure they're the best fit for Vibes, but given the right circumstances I'd check them out again.

Caught Big Head Todd four years ago at Sugarloaf. Seany turned me onto them in the early 90s, but hadn't listened to them in about 10 years until I saw that show. I mainly went as AOD was opening. Todd put on a helluva show.
