Georgi, not that I recall. It is more from a health perspective--how a plant-based whole foods diet is linked to lower incidences of disease-- and not in-your-face chicken houses and slaughterhouses.
Ooh good. I'd be depressed for days if I saw slaughterhouses.
(Just thinking about slaughterhouses makes me depressed, let alone seeing them.)
I added this to my queueueueueueueueu. (<-- I don't know how to spell queueueueueueueueueueueueueueu).

it's time for Eddie to change things up a bit. I'm 20lbs overweight, on Cholesterol meds, doc is thinking about putting me on high BP meds too. I'm convinced dietary changes can fix this.
All I have to do is ignore the 100lbs of meat leftover from catering in my freezers. LOL.

Just saw it. Great documentary. Later in the evening, I was in the supermarket, and it struck me how 95% of the food in there, aisle after aisle, is just poison. Best bet is to shop at the farm stand or the green grocery marketplace.

Thank you so much for this thread! Just watched it and am mooo-ved.
Seriously.
Wow. What an eye opener. I also watched 'Food Matters" before this and am feeling quite inspired by both of these films.
((JP being away and me watching this stuff)) Note: Nothing to so with his views....

i stopped eating meat after thanksgiving to try to lower my cholesterol. the change is going well so far. i'm not looking to lose weight - just lower my cholesterol and live healthier with less guilt (i've seen the slaughter house movies). i'm concerned about christmas and all the food that everyone forces down your throat!

my bro went veg (except fish), he dropped his cholesterol 40 points and lost 23 pounds, my ex has now been on a veg diet for 3 months, lost 10 pounds and dropped cholesterol 22 points.
meat and dairy is not healthy - that is a lie perpetuated by powerful industries and a govt controlled by powerful industries.
go veg for you, the environment, and for the animals

it's possible that jones lived longer due to his healthy lifestyle. the evidence seems to show that your odds are better but it's all a crap-shoot in the end.

according to the report i read yesterday, davey jones was a strict vegetarian without an ounce of fat on his body. he exercised daily. genetics play a role for sure.

yeah, complicated issues with lots of confounding variables.
