the water is that way because we used to have bottles in VIP but there were like eleventy billion bottles at the end with 2 sips taken out of each one. so the cooler is the best way to not waste resources. if you have a better idea, please let us know!
not directed at you sums:heart:
stick those eleventy billion bottles up your POSSE!!!

here is what i think the "water on the concert field" problem was:
if you were a day tripper, you were allowed to bring in one sealed gallon of water. if you were in camping, you were allowed to bring in as much as you goddamnwellpleased.
day trippers were already searched at the gate. the ONLY thing security should have been searching for entering the concert field was beer, glass & coolers. not freaking water.
i have already mentioned this to ken.

So what are the consequences? What happens with the people who were entirely fucked by this policy, or misunderstanding of policy, as it were? Is it just "oh, sorry you had a shitty time, we might address this next year"? If that is the case, it just isn't good enough. I'm just tired of this "oh, well it happened so deal with it attitude." And I don't mean from you, Summer. It just seems like there is an epidemic of passing the buck. The way I see it, Terrapin owes a personal explanation and apology to everyone...at the very least. I personally spoke to many people whose entire experience was ruined by this. People didn't want to go see the music because it was too hot without water. I hope I'm wrong, but it seems like Terrapin is fine with this...I mean, they made their money, so tough luck for those of us who got screwed. Again, I hope I'm wrong, but I can't see any restitution being made. It's downright despicable.ok, oops, i miss read

I don't mean to sound like a smartass here, but did anyone who wS hassled over water call the hotline to get clarification on the policy? I think the correct instructions could have been relayed to the yellow shirts if ops knew the policy was being enforced inconsistently, randomly, or wrongly.

the lack of ability to walk freely with an open container to and from the concert field was a "huge suck" for me (i don't drink beer, so much of what was on the concert field wasn't an option for me). it would be nice if we were allowed to bring the one beverage we were consuming on our walk up to the gate, right on through the gate. my lack of ability to do so, did not encourage me to buy booze on the field - i refused, it just made me cranky and annoyed with the corporate mentality "if you don't drink our booze, you don't drink at all." unfortunately, i know this policy won't change but it truly sucks monkey balls.
oh and hai sums! awesome hug from you at the picnic

I think blonds with giant pink cups of twisted tea should always be the exception to the rule:pimp:
Agreed.
All i'm going to say is the yellow shirts were this years blue meanies. i got hassled exponentially less by the cops then these bright colored water nazis.
i didn't call the hotline about it though.
the only thing i did with the hotline number was call every 20 minutes to ask when jerry was going on stage. and to find out the time for the ferry to west camp island. that was on the map, but no one seemed to know how to get to it
