I made it. Added 5 minutes to my run time from Thursday. Increased weights/reps a little (arms, core, legs, etc..). May go tomorrow to start off candy day right, if not I'll make the traditional Easter walk on the beach longer. :)

Haven't done anything since Wednesday but it's my birthday weekend...I got down at the Brooklyn bowl though- and my heart felt like it was going to pump out of my chest,so actually I'm calling that an hour of cardio.

Back at it tomorrow- i usually do an intense cardio on Mondays.

Cardio yesterday and a shortish hike today. Would have gone farther but my babygirl wasn't feeling well. Probably do some planks and back/trap stuff at home tonight.

Upped the running speed on Sunday and yesterday. More weights but less ouchies. :D

Nice job Wit! My gym offers Zumba. I'm going to have to use the treadmill so I can lurk during one of the classes. I believe I'm far too uncoordinated for such endeavors. :undecided:

Meh, if my clients can do it (and they DO It's AWESOME) then you can do it. I will say, it is a much different experience shaking your ass to someone else's moves while sober than you're own all hopped up.

It's not very difficult terrain, but it's interesting to look at. How much flooding did that area get last fall during the hurricane...it looks like the river got chopped up in a couple areas and massive trees fallen everywhere at one point on the trail. I'll definitely be bringing the kids to that spot sometime this summer, I'll let yall know when we do maybe you can join us.

I took a leisurely walk yesterday with a couple clients, but by the time the afternoon came I felt really burned out and a little overwhelmed with all the things I needed to do at home, so I didn't do anything. Sucks cause tonight and tomorrow I can't do my regular workout because I have meetings in the evening. Hopefully I'll at least have the energy for an elliptical or something.

Didn't get any flooding in this area during the hurricane. I'm guessing the damage you saw was from one of the major spring floods we've had over the past 5 years

Did some strength training and cardio on Thursday nad Friday and went for a hike yesterday. Tried to do a strength class today with an instructor I just love, But really struggled the whole time- I'm in day 8 of my raw food cleanse and I get nauseated and dizzy when I get to a certain activity level. It's really starting to piss me off.

Still have a bike ride to the train and a walk with a client today.

what kind of glute workouts do they have you doing in class?

i swam SO much better last night! was able to immediately get into my "groove" (usually takes 1-2 laps to get back to good form) & i was able to complete multiple 150 yd. drills (was never able to do more than 100 w/o feeling spent). my triceps still get sore pretty quickly, but my coach says it's normal & that i just need more conditioning. gonna try to get back in the pool this weekend

not yet. the nyc tri in july was to be my first, but the docs have advised against it. i just recently deferred my entry to next year. i might still do something organized before then depending on how i feel. perhaps a sprint tri or duathlon

Still hurts. I'm pretty sure this week it was from Kettlebell swing and snatch, I hadn't done it before, and at first thought it really foolish, but seemed to take to it and was like whoa the past two days. I'll keep doing that one.

I missed something, were yoou injured jnjn?

Kettle Ball swings definitely whoop the ass

There's a woman at my gym who lost 100# by changing her diet and doing a 20 minute kettle work out a 5 days a week for a year.

They're hard as hell. I was doing them for a while, but I found I prefer more traditional lifting workouts to target various body parts by day. Kettle workouts are typically full body.

I've somewhat fallen off the wagon lately only getting in 2-3 workouts a week. My summer schedule is much easier though with only taking one class, so I plan on kicking things back up.

oh cool! i've been looking to get into the kettle bell workouts for a while now. haven't tried, but it looks like fun & it'll definitely break up the monotony of my current workout.

yea, i had a foot/ankle "mishap" some time ago. trying to get back into the swing of things :)
