Apparently these have been around for a while, but I'm just seeing this yesterday.

Fluffy cows!!!!

They're competition cows, so they get super groomed - shampoo, blow dry, the whole bit.

I want to cuddle the crap out of those cows!!!!

They do.

These cows are typically very docile, friendly show cows.

They are handled, get paraded around and are groomed daily.

Can I just mention how much I freakin LOVE cows!!!!?

They are such a novelty to me.   I know that so many of you guys live in Vermont (Which is to me, the Cow Palace of the universe...)  and upstate or whereever, but here On Long Island... Cows aren't really common.  Horses, yes, and we have wineries and sod farms... and we do have a poultry and a buffalo farm close by...but rarely a cow.      The first true cow pasture I've ever seen was when I was 20, and went on my first ski trip with my friends....A wonderful field of black and white spotted adorable creature goodness!!!!!  They were always a novelty to me.

I spent some time this past week organizing the endless crap thats in boxes in the back room, and I came across the cow posters I had up in my bedroom back in High school... They were folded up, and over 25 years old, but it was fun to see them.

I've pet a cow's nose before at a game farm, but not otherwise.  And I've sure never milked one... This thread just seriously makes me want to hug a cow!!!

:cheesy:

And baby cows?  schmoop..

One of the posters, I can't find on google, was kind of like this one.... But there were more cows, and it simply said on the bottom "cows of color"

Cows are cute, but dumb as fuck. Same with moose. I was the same way with moose - I had never seen one until I moved out west in '05. They are all over the place, in some areas. They'll wander into the road, and if they don't move, well tough shit. I think they have adorable faces, but they're also dumb as fuck. Stinky swamp donkeys.

When my sister got married to a man from Kenya, as is the custom there, my parents received livestock in exchange for the bride.

Actually, they received a check which they bought the livestock with.

They decided to get Scottish Highland cattle because of their versatility.

These cattle are good gentle working animals (pulling stuff, working in fields etc), good milkers and good for eating.

They never did train them to work, but the milk and meat were delicious - cheese too!

The dollar amount sent was good for one pregnant mama and her year old baby.

So apparently my sister was only worth 2.5 cows.
