who can tell me experiences with biopsies and aspiration of breast cysts?

she uses saline during a hysteroscopy, not gas.
if i have the hysteroscopy and a d&c on weds, will i be able to go to wormtown that friday?? in fact camping in general might be frowned upon due to a risk of infection......
she offered to do an ablation at the same time but i don't think i'm ready for that and while i have one mild symptom that would indicate an ablation could be done, i don't have the pressing issues that one would usually get it done for.
additionally, the d&c might cure that mild symptom, so i'm feeling like it would be a bit on the heavy-handed end of the speculum, errrrr, spectrum and i'm not ready for an ablation at this time.

Can you postpone the appointment until the following Wednesday?
BTW I had the scope done with the gas many years ago and had a similar expereince to cj - it was wicked painful waiting for the gas to leave the interstitial spaces in my body (and no, gasx won't work for that)
((Nancy)) Gosh this is a lot to go through you poor thing!

Glad to read it seems the fix may only involve a procedure and some discomfort during healing time.
w/out the gas i think the afterwards will be easier than what we're hearing about here but still, it's day surgery, with the 'michael jackson droog'. i definitely don't want an infection though!

ok - changed to the 21st. that would give me two short weeks in a row at work, which i wouldn't mind either.....
i think i'm glad already that she doesn't use gas!!
love you all. each and every one of ya.
I was thinking about you today and decided to check in on your status. So... it's down, down, down to wormtown.... then procedure?

Erin, did you make your appt yet??!???!???
here is a medical website that my doctor recommended to me. click on the 'patients' tab. it's not as doom and gloom - and as confusing so far- as some other medical sites i've been to recently. maybe someone else will find this website helpful as well

and i think my dad thought i meant i was having a hysterectomy, which i didn't figure out until after he'd left me, so i made sure i reassured him that that wasn't it when he picked me up. he didn't stay with me pre-op and dr snyder seemed rather surprised until i told her it was because it was a 'woman thing'. as an example i told her that all we had to do as teenager to keep him out of our bedrooms was to have one tampon visible from the doorway. on the dresser, on the nightstand, or especially a box of them in an open closet - whatever - show him one and he wouldn't come near it. my sister and i still laugh about that. he is of the old old school of course, where men weren't involved in any of that stuff - ever. he's so funny.
i have a follow up appt in the office on 10/3 assuming no complications arise.
thanks for the positive thoughts.

apparently they weren't supposed to discharge me when they did, i got a call from my dr last night, which i missed unfortunately, saying she was planning on talking to me again. that was nice of her to call and i feel better knowing that i didn't forget all the details, i never got them! she said she'd call back today.

Thought of you and this thread today, as my yearly tests have resulted in the need for an ultrasound (done today) and the tech says the oncologist will probably want to have the painful thing she kept poking at biopsied . Not worried; just don't want them sucking things out of my boob with that contraption I saw in there but I'll let them do it.

but - much better today. still not going to zumba tonight but i hope to start again on weds. i've missed 4 classes this session and can only have 2 makeup classes. i probably could have taken more pills over the weekend, but i really didn't want to mask what was going on. i may not have liked what my body was telling me was going to happen, but it definitely warned me.
do you have a date set yet?

Hope you get to Wednesday Zumba!

hopefully the biopsy is all in the name of being cautious. sending lots of good vibes that all is well.

so they wanted to just prescribe a narcotic pain reliever and i said no. i was better. i was what i would have considered to be recovered and then this happens, it gets worse every single day and they want to just give me a pain pill to knock me out??? yeahhh, that's a no.
i have an ultrasound at north country at 7:30am tomorrow and an appt at the saratoga office at 10:30am. if they want to test for a uti at 10:30, please, be my freakin' guest, but i refuse to simply mask symptoms just to struggle through another 4 days. bullshit. so sorry i'm an inconvenience to you all. i gotta go take a pill.
