home sweet home! not bad at all, i highly recommend saline i think, as i have absolutely none of the pain others have mentioned with the gas.

little crampy, little tired, little groggy, but feeling fine, nothing catastrophic happening below so far

and i have my warning list of things to watch for,and i'm full of holes and bandaids from needles and the iv. my dad brought me home amid many promises to check in a few times this afternoon and the insistence that he is bringing me some of the dinner olga is making tonight. personally, i think she's just glad to not have to deal with me at their house today!
and i think my dad thought i meant i was having a hysterectomy, which i didn't figure out until after he'd left me, so i made sure i reassured him that that wasn't it when he picked me up.

he didn't stay with me pre-op and dr snyder seemed rather surprised until i told her it was because it was a 'woman thing'. as an example i told her that all we had to do as teenager to keep him out of our bedrooms was to have one tampon visible from the doorway. on the dresser, on the nightstand, or especially a box of them in an open closet - whatever - show him one and he wouldn't come near it.

my sister and i still laugh about that. he is of the old old school of course, where men weren't involved in any of that stuff - ever.

he's so funny.
i have a follow up appt in the office on 10/3 assuming no complications arise.
thanks for the positive thoughts.
