I have an old tape from a live show. Anyone have the equipment to clean it up or transfer it to CD or digital file? How hard is it to do?

Try "CDWAV" it's a free download. I have done this with a few old tapes. It allows you to split the songs into individual tracks. You need to get a cord that will allow you to plug your tape deck into your computer's audio input. You could probably get the adaptors you need at Radio Shack. Good luck.
