No gimmicks this year. The states thing was a success last year but it's just straight forward this year.  The Walk is earlier this year and takes place on September 22nd.

Alzheimer's is a terrible disease and its research is under-funded.  We need to get the word out about the financial and emotional cost Alzheimer's has on American society. If you haven't had a friend or family member with Alzheimer's, you will.  The toll on caregivers is vast.   I have traveled to Washington DC and lobbied Senators and Congressmen. I have also traveled to Albany to lobby on the state level.  We need to work towards a cure. Everything I do is unpaid, I am strictly a volunteer and I would like your help

I am Ryan Stewart, click on me to donate to the 9/22/13 walk.

Thank you,

Royal

This disease has hit home for me severely this year.  My second mom, and my mother's best friend has been reduced to living in a nursing home.  She does not recognize anyone anymore, except for her daughter (one of three kids, my best friend in elementary school), and my mom... sometimes.  Horrid disease.  Absolutely horrid.  This woman is in her late sixties.  Three years ago, she could not remember where her car keys were.  It happens that fast.

Thank you, Ryan.  I am finally able to donate and have never been happier to do so.   :)  XO

Thank you Kris. Kris's story is all too common. If you haven't had a family member or friend suffer from Alzheimer's yet, you will.

I've received some sizeable donations which is awesome, $100, $50, $35 all from boardies. What really makes the fundraising work is getting lots of small donations. A $10.00 donation helps a lot.

Once again thanks to the donors and let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you! I have reached the 1/3rd mark towards my goal of $1500.00

We had a call today from a man who was 80 years old and still working. His wife is struggling with Alzheimer's. If we can get more money for respite or affordable care that family's life would be much better. Still yet, we can cure this disease. Big steps have happened over the past few years but further research and analysis requires money. I know there are lots of good causes out there. Feel free to divide your donations equally among them. We just a small amount from you. Thanks for reading, message me if you have any questions.

That's great, Ryan, thanks. They're actually up in E-ville at least once a month. I'll send that info to my mum.

Let's see if we can raise $100.00 between now and 11:59 pm Friday.   I think we can do it.
