you're looking at the new Public Policy Intern for the Alzheimer's Association. I will be doing things I have not done in my first 3 years at the Association. I will schedule meetings with state senators, congressmen/women and US Senators. I will participate in the meetings. I will do much of the planning for the Association's trips to Albany and Washington, DC for Public Policy Day and Alzheimer's Forum respectively. Also I will work to get publicity for the Association in all forms of mass communications media.
I did a little bit of this type of work my first year but in the past two years they've had interns from Marist College. They don't have any this year so I volunteered and they agreed. While it's not in conjunction with college course-work the expectations of me are as high or higher than the expectations were for the students. I look forward to this challenge.
Oh and if you didn't see it, please congratulate Megmyster on her new job. She rocks.
