I wonder if they really know what they are getting into with a headliner like Datsic?   I hope they have some extra first aid ready.  Hopefully I am wrong.

I like a few of the acts at this festival but most of them are not what I'd call "music".

No even if not your cup of tea it's music.  I mean come on it mus of taken him like 6 beers to come up with the name Datsik.  It's pretty freaking clever.  sometimes one needs a little rapey whomp.

Emancipator

The Breakfast

The deadbeats

maaze

UV Hippo

Robokop

Archnemesis

The Malah

Damn Right

that's plenty to keep me entertained and I probably won't make it to even all of those.

I don't know what I got myself into that weekend.   I was originally going to go to the Peach festival, but somehow i got talked into going to a single day festival at PNC arts center, called "The Rock Star Energy "Uproar" festival", with headliners Jane's Addiction and Alice in Chains.     The rest of the bands, I know nothing about.

I think I might have to go the local hardware store to see what kind of bolts and shit I can insert thru my lips and ears.

What I should really do is head up to Terra Alta for a couple of days, then head home for the Uproar thing on Saturday.

Awesome weekend.  Robokop. Emancipator, Stop Making Sense and Turkuaz were the highlights.  What a fucking throwdown dance party we had at Turkuaz combining the boardie community and the Albany Crew.  We even had Mr. James Brown getting down with us thanks to Token.

I did.  I really like that this festival is able to mix a low key vibe with many artists of a not so low key music scene.

I really enjoyed the music at this fest, this year quite a bit more than last.

Yep, it's not "music" like I normally listen to, but it's really wonderful to sit and let my mind be taken on these journeys.

There were only a few (and I don't know the names, I wasn't bothering with that) that I didn't enjoy.

Special thanks to cassady, TEO, u.s. blues, gregoir, and Topo for sharing their campsite with me while I was there and it was great to see Jabadoodle, Reggie and kashmir while I was hanging out!!

Good times!!

I had a wonderful, albeit short time at Bella Terra.  What a jolt to the system to leave work, get into the car, and drive straight to a festival.  Huge thanks to TEO, Cassady, u.s.blues, Weird Jimmy, gregior, token, Topo, and Jabadoodle for being such great company.  Everyone I met was pleasant, and I crammed a lot of fun into a day and a half.
