Can you volunteer and then pay the difference for an upgrade to VIP?

staff showers are far away, and VIP's are close (if you are camped in VIP or Boardie)

that is a big advantage if one likes to be clean...

I just found that the VIP with partial refund to be a hassle a few times at check in (do we give you a VIP or Staff bracelet? hmm I don't know...get a supervisor etc etc.

last time they stopped with the pay the difference and went to pay the full price and we will send you a refund after the event.

I've never been in the VIP showers but staff showers have always been awesome.  no lines and I ride a bike out there so it's a pretty quick trip.  with some smooth talk, there are shortcuts too.
