Ok, I'm not only one of those people with (apparently) delicious-smelling CO2 that mosquitos just gobble up, I'm always outdoors, away from people as much as I can be.

I'm sick and tired of getting eaten alive all the time, and I'm sick and tired of Deet and the like.

I've heard that ticks don't like peppermint smell, so washing/misting with Bronner's could help that out.

How about skeeters? This is probably my biggest headache....

Anyone have any tried and true tricks out there, that don't involve having to use nasty Deet or something of that nature?

I've heard Cream of Sumyunguy works really well against Skeeters.

dried out bracket fungus burns like an incense and does a decent job of keeping skeeters away.  You need a really hot fire or a small torch or something to get it going as a lighter will not before burning the shit outta your fingers.  Not very useful if you're up and about though.

I've tried a few natural insect repellents and unfortunately, haven't had much success with them.  I don't know if its because the bugs love me so much (I swear, I can hear mosquitos ringing dinner bells all over when I step outside) or if its because I haven't found the right one.

I stilck with Off! repellent myself.  Seems to work the best.  But if you don't want to apply repellent directly to your skin, try one if the Off! clip ons.  I've used them and they seem to be just as effective but without having to slather yourself.
