I came by at 8:35 to (local bar) . It was a very, very hard night for our family. And I apologize for making you wait. Thinking that you'd come back again, I left them with (waitstaff). They are there now refrigerated and good through Sunday.
It's been an upsetting night thinking you left without getting the promised goods.

boil the liquid, add the shrimp, turn it off, put a lid on it, wait 5 min, check to make sure they are opaque in the middle, cool in bowl of water in an ice or water bath.
her way, the shrimp are over cooked, and most of the flavor added from the liquid would get rinsed out if you cool them off in running water.
next week she'll be telling people to cook pork until it's at least 165 - 170
