Haven't seen them all, so hard to comment on rank.  I'd say the 10,000 Maniacs performance was one of my favorites. Natalie Merchant at her peak. :)  I'd rate that above Neil's performance.  I'd have to go back and look at the rest of them.

My list would have Eric Clapton much higher up.  Hard to argue with Nirvana being on or close to the top though.

i really enjoyed the nirvana performance.  perhaps their best performance, imo.

If they don't they should...the only redeeming qualities MTV had.

I've only seen 2 or 3 of these shows in their entirety so I can't comment.

My only issue w/ Eric's unplugged is that Laya is NOT an acoustic song  he goes to 11 for that :wink:

Big 10,000 Maniacs Fan... took the rip to this here Buffalo many moons ago for a dead show mostly cuz they were the opener <3 

 

those were days, to remember <3
