I'm glad I don't know anyone who runs this fest because I can be completely honest in my thoughts about it. What a mega ripoff with unexpected bilking at every turn.
The regular three-day pass, which doesn't include Thursday, the best day of the fest, was $329. Thurs was an additional $149, or $139 for locals, or if you knew people in one of the bands you could get an $80 day pass with a discount code.
What they don't tell you in advance, is that for the privilege of parking 5 miles away and taking a shuttle bus, it costs another $30/day. So that's $600 before you even buy food or drink. Nothing is allowed in, no food, no water, no nothing.
To get a meal-sized serving of food was $15, with appetizer-sized food for $10 and they told you you have to use non-refundable "tokens" instead of cash which involves a huge bottleneck line so long that none of the vendors had lines at them because everyone was so busy waiting to get their stupid tokens. Even the poor vendors got bilked by these fucks who run this shit.
Maybe they should call it "Bottleneck Ripoff Napa" next year.
