Last night he started getting sick all over the house.

I didn't think much of it because it happens when he over eats.

But he is still vomiting. When I went to pick him up and give him an antacid he cried in pain.

My heart broke. He is laying in baby moons room on the floor where the water pipe runs. I have him wrapped in a blanket with food and water.

I hope he gets better. I would be devastated if he didn't pull through. He is my favorite.

Thank you.

He isn't showing any signs of improvement.

If he doesn't feel better by tomorrow he is going to the vets.

Can you get him to the emergency vet?  I am sure there is one in your neighborhood.

Loki is at the vets on iv fluids and mega Pepcid. He was almost completely dehydrated. The fluids I have him over night kept him going. Basically he has IBS and consumed something that made it flare up very badly. He will be there over night to ensure he gets better.
I was very scared but feel better that he is being cared for.

Thank you

I just called and he still weak and on fluids.

He is drooling which they say indicates his tummy still hurts :(

Hopefully he will be home soon.

He is my love bug.

Loki is jaundice this morning and not eating.

They are running bloodwork and doing an ultrasound.

The vet is worried :(

I am worried :( I love my kitty. I miss my kitty.

I am upset at the vets though for charging an insane amount of money for these services. As of right now my bill is at 2k

Doctor is testing for Pancreatitis an doing an ultra sound. He needs more medications and biopsy of his intestines. He hasn't eaten anything in two days :(. My bill just hit above the 2k.

The biopsy is 1800, plus the long term medication needed.

The good news is he is stable, just not eating.

I asked the owner for a price break, we will see what happens.

Doctor just called and said that Loki had something to eat tonight.

That's a good sign.

He still is not feeling well. He will have an ultrasound in the morning and they drew blood for the pancreatitis test. That will take a few days to come back.

And I hear you on pet care costs. We've probably spent more on pet healthcare than our own healthcare over the past few years. Thousands

His ultrasound doesn't show any tumors but does indicate IBS and pancreatitis. Going forward with steroids and not doing the biopsy. He is eating and more alert. He might be able to come home this afternoon.

Camera mans job offers pet healthcare insurance. I am going to get it for Loki.

He has more medication than an old man.

We have a long road a head of us but he will recover. :)

Good news.

Relieved to hear it was not FIP.   Some of the symptoms sounded very similar to that.

Damn... was going to text you today to check on how Loki was doing and then I saw this.

Hope its just temporary while he's adjusting to his meds & new diet.

I think Cobalt must know that Loki's under the weather & had a sympathy puke for him two days ago, which I stepped in.  Ick.  Thankfully, I think it was due to him eating too fast.  He seems to be just fine.

Loki is still vomiting but not as bad.

I just had to have his meds made into liquid form so he will not fight with me so much.

I'm sad. If he doesn't get better we will have to talk about just managing his pain and making him comfortable. :(

have you tried pill pockets? Atticus has to take a prednisolone pill every day for his IBS and there is no way he would allow us to give them orally, but he'll eat them in pill pockets.

We feed Pogo her pills and capsules in hot dog chunks. She is a medication ninja and can spit them out of anything! So far the hot dogs are doing the trick.

Another person told me to use liverwurst. If she catches on to the hot dog trick, we'll move on to that next. Liverwurst might work for Loki, so I figured I would suggest it.

It's been almost 8 months since Loki almost died.

He has been on treatments that have helped.

Last night he got sick again.

I've consulted the vet and started back some of his heavy duty medicine.

I'm hoping it's just a flare up.

I love my fur baby and I'm scared.

thank you...

He seems to be reacting well to this round of treatment.

It is so hard to watch him barely have the strength to lift his head up.
