I say YAY
. Railroad Earth, Galactic and Grace/Nocturnals are my 2 favorite bands out there. You can do any better than Phil as a headliner. Not a big Crowes fan but i know a lot of you are, so it's a good move.
If you haven seen Tedeschi-Trucks you need to see them.
all in all a great lineup

I think it's ok. I just feel like they picked the most safe run of the mill lineup as possible. nothing that really stands out it, just seems like a generic jamband fest over all without any of the young or big jambands
If I didn't have the factor of all my friends being there I would probably be selling my ticket.

Don't forget Jackie Greene is with the crowes and galactic is touring with the dude from that band I posted about.
I have no complaints what did you want gregoir?
Got late night stuff for you djs and funk?
Plus things will still get added.
2 nights of Phil will be epic......he killed it in 2002 and that lineup should be fantastic .

I'm not a big fan of Phil's misfit toys, but I like this batch of friends. Somehow I've never seen Fishbone. The other Scofield band sounds pretty good, and TTB doesn't disappoint. There are still other bands that aren't announced, and I'm hoping one of them makes me wet.

I have mixed feelings about it. 2 nights of Phil is sick, I'll be there for that alone.
There's some generic-americana-jamband overkill on that lineup IMO. The Black Crowes, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, John Butler, Max Creek, Assembly of Dust and Railroad Earth don't get me excited. The Roots are a good group to get people from CT to buy day passes, but I'm not really that into them.
The DJ sets sound cool; Kung-Fu and Papadosio latenight are going to be great (I'm hoping for another night of Papadosio playing through the sunrise). I realize that DBB is going to play at some point in the weekend, but I wish they were during the day on the main stage instead of latenight.
This lineup is still missing Bobby, Bill, Mickey, Dopapod, a roots reggae act (I hope Tribal Seeds isn't getting the Sunday-afternoon reggae slot) and a classic blues player. I also think another jamtronic band would be sick, like Lotus. I look forward to seeing the final lineup.

i say YAY! 2 nights of phil with what looks like a killer band. crowes, galactic, funky meters, grace potter, john scofield uberjam, some nice surprises, for me, and only a few repeats from last year. and phil's lineup is completely different. it's gonna be great. i can't wait.

man, i am pretty excited!![]()
what did people wanna see?!?!?!?!
bands that are creating new and viable music UM, lotus
A major jamband SCi
A different saturday headliner String cheese again or beck, ben harper, black keys, pearl jam, wilco
Some cool singer song writers like Ryan Adams or Andew Bird
more exciting latenights though I am happy to see dosio I'd rather see live electronic music or other funk besides Deep banana blackout and dj's that were hip at Camp Bisco 5 years ago
Like I said it's not bad it's just not super exciting. It's very similar to All Good and the Peach fest. You just switch a few acts here and there. Almost every band on the lineup has played vibes before.
On a positive I think the phil lineup looks great; one night would of been fine with me though. Always like galactic. Hoping John Butler Trio will be on a different day besides Sunday as I really enjoy them. The Roots will also be awesome. I always enjoy the Black Crowes I am just not super jazzed for them for some reason, hopefully that will change. Fishbone should be cool too though it seems an odd choice I would of gone with pietasters or bosstones for a ska band but none the less I am happy to see some ska on there.

My last post sounded kind of negative. This lineup sounds like fun. I'm really excited for John Scofield, The McLovins and Jimkata. I'm sure there are lots of fun artists to be announced to.
JMO but if VIbes is going with DJs latenight for the first time they should've gone with some really out-there trippy acts. There's a certain group of people that are going to complain about DJs no matter what, but these seem like really safe choices as far as DJs go. I'm probably the only one but I'd like to see Psytrance latenight. Guys like Ott, 1200 mics, Ocelot and even Shpongle are pretty low-budget at far as festivals this size go, but they would make a lot of heads explode if they got slots like 3-5 am. For people under 40 having funk (especially DBB) late-night is alienating.

I think it's OK and I'm happy about the absence of a certain former GD member who is frozen in super slo-mo these days.
But yeah, I need one more band to fill the Primus/Jane's Sat night spot before I can start shouting from the rooftops.
A decent Pig Skull band... ![]()
