i've never done anything like this before, i'm kind of just starting out. i read the craft vending info page and the application, but i'm wondering what kind of fees are involved, what the setup is like, what kind of stuff i'd need other than a table? if anyone who has experience could give me some inside info, i'd be really grateful. several people have told me my wares would do well at music festivals so i'd like to look into it. xoxo -Kathleen

i have no experience vending at festivals, but in the past craft vendors typically either had a spot around the back wall on the main concert field or along the roads between the main concert field and the Green Vibes stage.

Most, if not all had some type of canopy / ez up for shade, product display, security(?).

Many took credit/debit cards, not sure of they all did.

I bet if you send in the Vendors application, with questions and good contact info, someone will get back to you.

Fees, camping, insurance, set up/breakdown times, add'l vending staff requierments are just a few things i know i would be asking about.

the form asks for your needs re booth size, etc.

Yes, what Feck said in regards to GOTV specific.

If you are looking for more general vending info, there are a few current and former festival venders that are apt to stop in and give you their best tips.

I was going to say it's there's a juried application process with free samples going to all the Boardies, but my fool comments should never be read by anybody.

if you are just starting out, first of all vibes is too big and too expensive...you should get in touch with the folks at wormtown who hold fests at camp kewanee in greenfield, ma twice a year...its smaller, less intense but still is busy enough to make good money!

i vended there twice a year for about 5 years...

feel free to PM with questions :rose:

edited to add:

for a non-beginner with the proper insurance & permits and amount of stock and staff, vibes is an awesome place to vend! i just re-read my post and i dont want people think i was saying to not vend vibes

also, its very hard to get in to, very high demand! (rightfully so!)

Thank you for asking this question Kathleen - I've been conversing with whoever manages the Facebook page today, and they just keep telling me to check the Craft Vending page.  But there is zero information on that page in regards to fees.

Does anyone know what the Craft vendor fees are this year, and what it includes (how many weekend passes, etc.)?

Hey All!

Yes, it was confirmed yesterday, we are no longer accepting craft vending NOR food vending applications for Vibes 2013.

At this time most spots are filled, and final invitations are going out.   The waitlist, is also full.

The website is due to be updated soon to reflect this information.

Sorry for the delay, I did respond to someone yesterday evening on FB with this information.

Please feel free to call the Hotline/League Office with any specific questions!

Also - to try to answer the specific question asked - we dont have that info here at the office regarding pricing.  It is dependant on where you are located, the size of your footprint, how much electricity you require, ect.

All of that is in a matirx, and depends on what spots are available at any given time.   (which to be clear, at this time is none :fish1:)
