150+ today...drove a rental to Allentown, Pa, and checked in at the terminal. Need to pass a urine screen and get an annual physical tomorrow. Then look into next truck...
The rental was fine! 2011 GMC Acadia...and it had XM in it, so....I cranked up the Bose sound system and listened to 7/21/90....Tinley...not too bad, but I can't stand the dropouts in the XM system....
Back to Work....

I just read this entire thread. You lead an interesting life Pie. I travel a bunch myself but usually its drive away from home on monday, stay in some city away from home for two weeks and then drive back. Not everyday driving massive amounts of miles.
side note...as i got to about the end of page one i started to hear every word you wrote coming across as the voice from the singer (talker?) in that song "phantom 409". I challenge anyone that checks in here to do the same. Its comical to say the least.

16.4 miles today....in the truck....it's got 9600+ miles, but it's a 2012....and kinda nice. Clean it up a little tomorrow and get moved in...wait for some permits and have the shop check the clutch...maybe find a bracket mount for the CB and I'll be rollin' rollin' rollin'....

I won't be headed home for a bit...There are so many BBQ places down here.....and all I'm looking to get is some good chicken....Wegman's has that.....
Much better chix at a roadside BBQ stand in the middle of hill country.

prolly right about the roadside stand. Thought I saw one today only to realize that is was a border patrol checkpoint.

Sio...I go to Fort Worth and pick up , and take it to West Memphis, Ar. Grab the only mty at the yard and run over to Memphis and pick up 1440 cs. of Apple Jacks and take 'em to Minooka, Il.(gotta love that name...Minooooooka), now calling it a night and will run a short thing tomorrow.

237, Started the day waiting from 2am til 730am to get unloaded in a suburb of Pittsburgh...then had to deal with some stuff they shipped that they didn't order...then over to Wooster,OH, where I'm waiting till morning to grab my loaded trailer ande head west to Elwood....

most of our trailers have s-trax....some still have holes and pans...I use ratchet straps (ah ya must be careful...)
404 yesterday...
647 today...Lafayette, La....If I had time, I'd head on down to the "Twist and Shout"... Houston tomorrow...

started today in Missouri, headed east on 70, took 465 to 69 and fuelled in Gaston,IN, then up to 469 and over to us24 to toledo....holy toledo!
Then up 75 to Woodhaven, Mi. 534, by the odo...but the grid seems to think I only went 476..felt like 934...crappy roads take the life outta you..*** holes, ruts....(rut roh)....some days I think I get paid by the pain instead of by the mile.....
