The truck got "fixed" friday, but when they started it up...they heard a "noise" and per the chief of "repair/breakdown" dept., they need to take a look at the cause of the noise on Monday, since they didn't have any time left on friday to check it out...
Sio....Now I'm stuck in a motel til Monday....to get it checked out...No income so far this week....Makes me think of what I'd do if it were 7/20...
CarnSarnit!
I'm not a quitter.......but...

man you are so close yet so far away. Come to NH!
If you mean, "Live free or Die"....I am so close to implementing that ideal...
I am sitting in the motel room, having a beverage and watching Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom..
You could say I'm "Chillaxing ".....(a favorite phrase of a close friend)...
But I am soooooo ready to rent an SUV and just call it quits...Argggggg!
In fact, I would, if it was 7/19....
but it isn't.....
It's
JUST
another
day
ON
THE
Roa
d..........................................................uh.....

Sio...I got a rental car to drive all my stuff home from the nearest company terminal..and I had a Huge amount of stuff...ya know, when you live on the road you like to have almost anything you might need, and other than more clothes than I really needed, my stuff filled an Impala to the gills...
I gets home and unloads the car, and tries to get a friend to do a shuttle trip with me to the airport so I can return the rental and go get my car, which I park near where I park the rig when I am home... Alas! No friends are available to help, or can, but like too much later than I need to return the rental..
I turn in the rental at the airport and take a cab....$35! Talk about highway robbery....The cab has a sign on it saying "no smoking in this cab", but as I get in, it reeks of smoke...yukk...should have refused to take it...but I did and then I get to the parking place...I go over to the car and I see a plastic bag covering the drivers window. Hmm...Seems Someone has broken my window and there is glass all over the inside. I call the State Police and they send an officer...I haven't even opened the door yet, but I can see the glove box open and the light is on. I open the car and notice that nothing is missing, check the trunk, and nothing's missing...So I try to figure why the window was broken...just malicious mischief, or maybe they didn't find anything in the glove box and then left? The weird thing is....The glove box has broken glass in it, and I didn't leave the car with the box open...it would drain some of the battery. I start thinking that they jimmied the door successfully, and when they didn't find my GPS or cell in the glove, they closed the door and smashed the window? I'm in a quandry! Glass will be fixed tomorrow, but the mystery persists.
I went to the place today and found this, ...there is a guy who goes for a walk every day there, and he noticed the glass was broken on the 6th. He and a coworker decided to put the plastic over the window and taped it there. So...one mystery solved, but what mechanism is there to explain the broken glass in the glove box?
Anyone out there have a clue?

Tabbooma is so glad he met you, and thanks for grilling, see you soon.
Yes, what Booma said. Great time hanging with you this weekend, and thanks to you and all the cooks who fattened me up on your fine grilled meat products.
Next time your cruising through north-central nj and you can stop, look me up

Why should someone buy my car?...It's in great shape, always starts, will likely give you several years of trouble-free use...
(it's under the stairs) ....
I've put $3500+ into it in the last four years....there isn't much left to fix...Good winter car...and it takes all the "secret" routes to festivals...

wiki...The famously named "Ring Nebula" (also catalogued as Messier 57, M57 or NGC 6720) is located in the northern constellation of Lyra. It is one of the most prominent examples of a planetary nebula, the gaseous remains of red giant star that has ended its life by expelling its material into the surrounding interstellar medium.
Then they aimed the telescope at M27....also interesting...an object in Vulpecula, also known as the dumbell nebula....Maybe that was a little joke?
So, I saw a few meteors and called it a night....anyone see anything spectacular?
