im visiting my mom and at night we keep hearing a loud long rumbling sound, much like thunder only a tad.... scarier or something.

 

anyway i know where its coming from, its coming from a kraft plant near by, but thats at least 5 miles away...

 

what do you think they could be doing to make such a loud noise?

 

i cant believe they are even allowed to do something so noisy..... if we can hear it as loud as we can so far away it must be horrible for those closer. its a very ominous sound...

 

and its 11 at night as i type this!

I have a similar scenario, here.

 

 

Every once in a while at like 5am I hear a massive rumbling/crunching sound.... the first time I heard it I thought it was a building collapsing...

 

I think it must be maybe payloaders filling dumptrucks with debris...   it's skerrrrry

my dad thought maybe it was some sort of giant industrial steam cooker valve releasing its pressure....

 

i cant believe its legal to make such a racket so late at night!
