I have absolutely no clue. I always like the idea of jazzfest but I think that's just too hectic for me and it ends up being $4000 out of pocket which could go to a lot of other stuff instead if I had it to spare in the first place.

But yeah, it is expensive.

But yeah, it is expensive.

I used to go to Jazzfest in the 90's.  It was so different back then.   Daily tickets to the fairgrounds was $7 or $8/day.  In 99 (my last year there) I think it was $15/day.  

I would get an apt in Faubourg Marigny for about $600-$750 for a week. I always had airline miles, so that was easy.   But know?  $50/day?   $250/night hotels? $500-$600 airfare? Shows at Tips and HoB, food, booze, etc would prolly be around $4000.

 

Once you learn to stay out of the Quarter, it's cheaper.  But it is still a lot of dough for a week...

I have been in NOLA for this fest a couple of times. You will have a freaking blast.
