A week ago I was contacted by the woman I've had the most significant relationship with for the first time in almost 15years.
Most likely I have posted in the past this was not an angry, violent separation and was talked through as calmly as we could.
She walked in my door last Friday and politely said she was not here to interrupt my life but she was hurt, very hurt.
Sherry had a massive heart attack and flat lined long enough to suffer severe brain trauma. It's a miracle she is here and another there is little paralysis, just some minor problems with manipulating her fingers. She now experiences full body petite moll seizures....and of course some other more minor complications. Permanent memory is shattered and fragmented (she doesn't even recognize this city anymore, doesn't know her way around). Temporal not much better.
She told me she came to me not remembering but with a feeling I really cared and somehow knowing I could help 'fix" her.
I gave her a key to the house yesterday, after all this was her home. We need to get organized but she will be moving back in soon.
The improvement in confidence and self esteem in a week is evident. I hope to get her more comfortable socially as time goes on.
I told her if the time comes I know a group of people that will accept her as she is and love her and accept her as one of their own and no one would ever call her simple.
I love all of you! ![]()
